Margaret Heenan graduated from UWA with a BFA in 2004. This current work delves into the elemental nature of the medium of glass and emerges from Margaret's photographic exploration of glass at the micro and macroscopic levels. The discovery that these images bear a strong resemblance to the land informs the process of ‘re-creation', resulting in slumped platters and wall pieces which have soft and ethereal qualities.
Ros Barry has a long history as a ceramicist and graphic artist, and turned her hand to glass in recent years. Her boldly colourful and edgy designs are made into organic and irregular shapes, referring to natural forms by way of abstraction.
