Lyn Woodger Grant is a renowned Sydney artist whose subtle and tranquil paintings portray her concern for preserving Western Australia 's places of ecological significance. The paintings in the exhibition ‘Spirit of Nature' highlight the unique beauty of some of the diverse eco-systems in W.A., such as Nambung National Park (the Pinnacles), Mangrove Paperbark trees in Albany , Karri trees of Beedulup Forest and our Northern Coral Reefs. Guest speaker for Lyn's opening is Dr. Ray Steedman, a former Chairman of the Australian Institute of Marine Science and Western Australian Environmental Protection Authority.

Lyn is a former teacher from the National Art School in Sydney , and has won 30 art prizes and commendations since 1964 for her work in various mediums, including abstract and traditional painting and sculpture. Lyn is also a qualified Art Historian (MA) and became passionately interested in Ecology after majoring in Anthropology at Sydney University during the 70's. In 1999 she exhibited in London at The Royal Geographical Society, where she was awarded a Fellowship for her dedication in drawing public awareness to environments under threat through her artwork.
